A few words

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas, and that you awoke to some pleasant surprises!
I woke up to a brand new stereo for my car!  HOORAY :)  I was not expecting anything of the sort.

Also, Happy 5th Anniversary to Courtney and Mckay!
They are silly.
If you know me in the slightest, you know that I'm a huge fan of Zooey.  Basically, I kind of wish I was her.  Well, here's a little something from Zooey and Joe.

Aren't they so cute?

P.S.
The Ugly Christmas Sweater Party is tonight!  Be there, or be square!

Diaries of an unhappy salesperson.

Dear Friends,

May I just say a word about Christmas?

It's the most wonderful time of the year, right?  Well, working retail this holiday season has opened my eyes to a whole new world of Christmas.

I get the whole giving thing.  I love that about Christmas.  I love giving to the people I love.  I love Celebrating the birth of Jesus, and his life.  But what has Christmas become to the average human being?  Consumerism is good for the economy.  I know that.  But what makes me sad is what consumerism does to human beings: it's kind of nuts actually.  They herd around stores buying everything in sight, leaving shelves bare.  They want 20 of multiple items.  They want this; they want that.
They become hostile, angry, and impatient.
Really, people?
What happened to the true meaning of Christmas?  What happened to the most wonderful time of the year?  What happened to spending time with your family?
What about ME spending time with my family?
To tell you the truth, Christmas hasn't been as special to me this year.  I'm not saying that I'm not grateful to have a job in a college town where jobs are scarce.  My heart is full of gratitude towards my Heavenly Father.  Words cannot express how much my job has blessed my life this school year.
But staying in little Logan town to work on Christmas Eve so that customers can come in and purchase their last few items on their list, annoys me a little.  While everyone else is taking a break and rest from school, I'm still going 100 mph to feed all the needs of these consumer-crazed people.
I need a break too, ya know.
I know that we emphasize the true meaning of Christmas at Church on Sunday, but how about we actually live it?
I found this video on youtube, and I really like its message:
How about we spend less on presents and spend more of our time together?

Treat Yo Self 2011

Well Folks, Finals are all over, and that means it's time to treat yo self.
I would just like you to all know that I killed my jury.  I'm quite pleased.  I'm just so grateful to be singing.  It truly brings me great joy.  You know what else brings me great joy?  Parks and Recreation.  It's a great show; you should check it out!

So, what are you going to treat yo self to?

Need a break from studying?

I don't know about you, but studying for 6 finals is making my brain feel like it's about to explode.
That said, here are some videos for you all to enjoy. If finals doesn't blow your mind, these might.

Go ahead, laugh, cause I did.
Bless their hearts...
